The Public Benefit and Privacy Panel (PBPP) considers the use of CHI data for large scale research projects or where complex linkage is required. Information on how to make an application to PBPP can be obtained here.
The CHIMB considers use of CHI for operational management purposes and CHI services i.e. the strategic approach, design of CHI services, CHI change management and CHI continuity/resilience. Initial discussions about access to CHI for operational management purposes should be directed to the CHI Management Service via iain.young@nhs.scot. This service also provides assistance in completing the application form. CHIMB uses the same form as PBPP, a copy of which can be obtained from the Committee Secretary via nss.committee@nhs.scot.
